Severance is an idyllic commuter city located just east of Windsor. This town became incorporated in 1920 after David Severance, the town’s namesake, applied for a post office in the area 26 years before. For years, it was a small farming community, but in recent years has expanded to a population of about 10,000! Each year, residents enjoy a weekend-long event called “Severance Days”. Neighbors, community leaders, and visitors alike gather to enjoy a parade, live music, food, and fireworks! Plus, hiking, fishing, camping and outdoor recreating are just a hop, skip and a jump away!
