Why Loveland, Colorado is a Great Place to Live

Known for its stunning natural beauty, Loveland is located along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Nationally nicknamed the “Sweetheart City”, it comes as no surprise that the city loves LOVE! Each year, Loveland hosts a popular two-day “Sweetheart Festival” to celebrate Valentine’s Day. During this event, local artists and vendors put their work on display in the charming ambiance of downtown. In addition, the city has two “Love Lock” Sculptures in which residents and visitors can place an engraved lock to commemorate the love they share with a significant other.

The Downtown District is a hub for local eats, breweries, shops, and boutiques. Some local favorites include Henry’s Pub, Loveland Aleworks, Dark Heart Coffee Bar, and Vintage Willows. The Promenade Shops at Centerra is another popular place to enjoy mainstream shopping, dining, movie theatres, and community gathering space. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Loveland also hosts concerts, sporting events, and festivals at the county fairgrounds and the local events complex, known as “The Ranch”, throughout the year.

Moreover, this city values and showcases art! Each year, the city hosts the Loveland Art Festival, which allows people from around the world to enjoy the city’s galleries, sculpture gardens, and local artists.

Lastly, Loveland is home to large bodies of water including three lakes (Boyd Lake, Lake Loveland, and Carter Lake) and three reservoirs (Boedecker Reservoir, Lon Hagler Reservoir and Pinewood Reservoir). These areas are perfect for those who love to swim, paddleboard, boat or float during the warm seasons. Devil’s Backbone Open Space is also a population destination, along with the numerous parks and trails that offer exceptional opportunities to explore the great outdoors.
